Brazing Alloys
Aluminum Alloys
Aluminum alloys are used extensively in aerospace industry and engineering structures due to their high strength-to-weigh ratio – pure aluminum metal is much too soft for such uses and does not have the tensile strength required.
Copper Alloys
Copper alloys are primarily copper mixed with different alloying elements that produce a new range of materials designated with particular characteristics such as strength, ductility, formability, machinability, or conductivity.
Nickel Alloys
Nickel brazing filler metals are generally used when specifications call for corrosion resistance and high-temperature service properties. Nickel is also used in subzero applications as low as the temperature of liquid oxygen, helium, or nitrogen.
